Overview

Seasons Dog Park is a City of La Quinta facility on Cloud View Way in La Quinta, California, behind Adams Elementary School and at the far end of the street past the unfenced children's play area.

It is one of the largest dog parks in La Quinta, laid on grass and fully fenced, with a separate small dog enclosure, double gated entry, a drinking fountain for people and dogs, shaded seating and waste bag dispensers.

Opening is 7AM to 10PM, and the park is lit, so evening visits work through a Coachella Valley summer when daytime heat rules out the middle of the day.

The large side is long and narrow with rolling ground and mountain views behind it.

Hours, amenities and rating come from this park’s Google listing, and are checked against what visitors report in their own reviews. Listing last updated 19 Sep 2026. We record what those sources say; we do not inspect parks in person.

What to Expect at Seasons Dog Park

Rebekah Neiman lists what makes it worth the drive: "It's grass, has shaded areas with benches, lights for after dark, a people/dog water fountain, double gated entry, and a separate area for the small dogs. We pass by a couple other parks to take our boys here."

The small dog side is the recurring complaint. Rowena Preston-Crow rates the park highly but asks "why didn't they make the small dog section a lot bigger and with some shade?" Mark Losh puts it more briefly: "The large dog side is spacious and varied terrain. The small dog side is, well, small."

Grass on a desert site comes with maintenance issues. Conner Albert found "the grass isn't very well maintained and, as a result, there are numerous puddles containing mud and a few gopher holes."

Joe Richland rates it the pick of the region: "It's the best park I've found in the Coachella Valley."

Alvaro Sandoval notes it is quieter than the alternatives and "much bigger than the others in La Quinta."

Amanda Reigle offers seasonal advice worth taking: the site sits low with little air movement, so it is better in autumn and winter than at the height of summer.
