Planning Your Visit to Kearny Mesa Dog Park
Parking is the main practical issue. The closest car park is heavily used during the day by students at nearby Mesa College, so arriving mid morning on a weekday means a walk in.
Early morning, evening and weekends are much easier.
Because it is one shared area, small and nervous dogs mix with large ones. Judge the crowd before going in.
Mature shade trees make this park usable through a San Diego summer in a way that open enclosures are not.
