Hours vary by day. The site opens at 6AM Monday to Thursday and on Saturday, but not until 2PM on Friday, closing at 10PM.
That Friday opening catches people out, so check before a Friday morning trip.
A maintained grass surface is unusual for a San Francisco dog play area, where decomposed granite and wood chip are the norm. It is noticeably kinder on paws.
