Mariposa Park is a City of Boise park in west Boise, Idaho, at the junction of Mitchell and Irving streets.
The fenced dog park inside it is open every day from sunrise to sunset, with bark as the ground surface.
A mutt mitt dispenser and bins are provided for clearing up after your dog.
The wider park has green space, pathways, a pond and open cut grass play areas.

Planning Your Visit to Mariposa Park
Bark chip is a good surface for this climate. It drains after Boise's wet spring and stays softer underfoot than gravel through the hot dry summer.
The pond and pathways make it easy to add a walk on the lead either side of off-leash time.
Boise bought the land in 2004 from the Sterling family, and the name comes from the Spanish word for butterfly, which the park's pollinator planting reflects.
