Van Horn Woods East Dog Park is a fenced off-leash area at 17200 S NE Frontage Rd in Plainfield, Illinois, managed by the Plainfield Park District.
It sits on the east side of Lily Creek within the wider Van Horn Woods natural area, reached from Frontage Road near I-55.
Entry is through a double gate, which gives you a holding space to unclip a lead before the inner gate opens.
The east side of the site also has its own parking, a fishing pond and a restroom, which is more support than most off-leash areas of this size offer.

Planning Your Visit to Van Horn Woods East Dog Park
There is no charge to use the dog park and it is open year round.
A dog friendly trail runs through the wider natural area, so a visit can be a walk on the lead followed by off-leash time rather than just one or the other.
Water and shade are not recorded inside the fenced area, so bring water in warm weather.
