What to Expect at Woodford County Dog Park

De York describes the setting: "Nice grassy knoll with a refreshing breeze. A nice pavilion on the large dog side. And the metal band park benches are so comfortable and even though under the pavilion, exceptionally clean."

Rachel Short explains why the layout works: "This park is big, well-kept, and has lots of friendly people and dogs who are frequent visitors. There are 2 fenced in areas, in case a dog wants to be near the action but is a bit shy."

Carol Edwards covers the essentials and the one gap: "This is a simple dog park, but it was clean with water and trails, and people were very friendly and respectful. I do wish both sides had a shady seating area."

Lauren rates it for exercise: "Large open spaces, lots of grass to play fetch with my pups. Water available which is nice, and do not forget the trails."

One visitor, posting as D B, was bitten on the hand by another visitor's dog on a first visit. As at any busy off-leash park, let dogs approach in their own time rather than reaching out.
