What to Expect at The Petal Dog Park

Cheyanne Pokharel sets the scene: "Corner lot off the highway. Gated and separated for big and small dogs. Plenty of shade and seating. Huge area with an awesome old tree. Maintained fairly well."

Sean Letourneau has tracked the improvements: "Park is much better now that the giant dead tree has been removed. Water is back on, fences are almost 100%. (Tiny dogs beware) and the nightmare mud puddles are filling in."

That aside about the fences is worth heeding if you have a very small dog.

Stephen Smith names the two drawbacks: "Only gripes i have being the mosquitos are INSANE and there is standing water for a while after a rain."

Silvia Bounds brings a lab and her puppy and says both love the large dog area. Patrick Richards found the bag dispenser empty but brings his own, which is the safe approach here.
