What to Expect at Vancleave Dog Park
Janet was struck by the scale and the quiet: "Small and large dog side were huge. I had the park to myself every time I went. I was at a dog show at the nearby arena and it was a great place for dogs to chill before and after."
Curtis Martz describes the entry and the shade situation: "Very nice local dog park. Not much shade because the trees are young, but it ought to be really nice in 20 years. Locking double door vestibule area so no dogs can escape."
The water point comes up repeatedly. Paul Ivy II says "My poodles love it. They have room to fly. Only wish the water bowl on the large size worked better. I have to take their own bowl and water." Nicholas Johnson reports "there are no water spickets to fill up bowls."
Stephanie Gilpin likes the condition of the ground, saying "grass is green," while noting that not everyone picks up after their dog. Clara Zoller calls it a "Great addition to Vancleave."
