Dog Park Rules in Roper East Dog Run

Essential Requirements

Before entering the park, ensure your dog meets these criteria:

1. Your dog must be legally licensed, have a current rabies vaccination, and be free from communicable diseases or parasites.
2. Dogs under 4 months of age aren't allowed, and females in heat are prohibited from entering the park.
3. You must supervise your dog at all times. Children under 10 years old aren't permitted, and handlers must be at least 16 years of age.

Park Conduct

Keep your dog leashed when arriving and departing.

Once inside the fenced area, your dog may run freely.

You're responsible for cleaning up immediately after your dog and filling any holes they dig.

Glass containers, food, pronged collars, and toys aren't allowed.

Any aggressive dogs must be removed from the park immediately.

Roper East Dog Run is open daily from 5 AM to 11 PM, featuring separate areas for small and large dogs, as well as water fountains and shaded areas for your convenience. Please note that while pets must be leashed in other areas of Roper Lake State Park, dogs are welcome to roam freely within the designated dog run fenced area.
