Overview
Scioto Audubon Dog Park is a 1.5 acre off-leash area inside Scioto Audubon Metro Park at 400 W Whittier St in Columbus, Ohio, run by Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks.
It opened in January 2022 near the park office and has separate fenced areas for large and small dogs.
Almost half the site is surfaced with artificial turf, which keeps that section free of mud through a wet Ohio winter.
The turf areas hold a set of obstacle stations and play structures, including balance beams, a jumping frame and a play tunnel.

Benches and drinking water are provided.
The split surfacing is a smart design. It gives dogs something firm underfoot when the natural ground has gone soft, without covering the whole site in turf that bakes in summer.
Scioto Audubon Metro Park itself is a restored brownfield beside the Scioto River, with a climbing wall, boardwalks and birding areas, and it sits within walking distance of downtown Columbus.
