Overview
The Waggin' Tails Dog Parks are the off-leash areas within the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex in South Carolina, run by North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation.
There are separate fenced areas for small dogs under 25lb and for larger dogs.
Water fountains, waste bags and plenty of parking are provided.
The complex is a large municipal sports site, so the dog parks sit alongside fields, trails and event space rather than standing alone.

Planning Your Visit to the Waggin' Tails Dog Parks
Access can be restricted during special events or maintenance. The city posts notice when that happens, so check before travelling if you are coming from outside the area.
The city states that it is not responsible for injuries to visiting dogs, their owners or others using the park, which is a standard disclaimer but a reminder that supervision is on you.
This is a holiday area, so the parks are busiest through the summer season when visitors are on the Grand Strand.
Coastal South Carolina summers are hot and humid, making the water fountains a necessity rather than a convenience.
