Overview
The Winchester Dog Park sits inside Jim Barnett Park at 150 War Memorial Drive in Winchester, Virginia, a city run site of more than 170 acres.
There are two fenced sections. The small dog park is for dogs under 30lb, and the large dog park is for dogs over 30lb, though smaller dogs may use the larger side at their owner's discretion.
Both sections have play equipment and picnic tables. Running water is turned on from April through October, so plan to bring your own outside those months.
Use of the dog park is free.

Rules and Access at the Winchester Dog Park
Dogs need a current licence and proof of vaccination to use the park.
Families with children under 16 may use the small dog area, which is a deliberate provision rather than an oversight and makes this one of the easier parks to visit with children in tow.
The park closes for routine maintenance every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2PM to 3PM. That one hour catches people out, so time an afternoon visit around it.
The two areas are open seven days a week from dawn to dusk.
