Overview
Sherman Park Dog Park is a fenced off-leash area within Sherman Park at 1401 Arboretum Dr in Yakima, Washington.
The park forms part of the Yakima Greenway, the corridor of connected parks and paths that follows the Yakima River, and sits a little over a mile south of Sarg Hubbard Park.
The off-leash area is enclosed, and there is a picnic area alongside it.
Dogs must stay on the lead everywhere else in the park and along the Greenway path. The fenced enclosure is the only place they can run free here.

Planning Your Visit to Sherman Park Dog Park
Because the dog park is part of a river corridor, a visit combines easily with a walk on the Greenway path, which is paved and level and runs for miles in both directions.
Yakima summers are hot and dry. Water is not recorded inside the enclosure, so carry your own from June through September.
Access is straightforward and the site is wheelchair accessible.
Being part of a linear park, Sherman Park is quieter than the Greenway's busier northern sections, which suits dogs that find crowded parks difficult.
