Rules and Access at Sun Prairie Dog Park
A permit is required. You cannot simply turn up and use the park.
To buy a Dane County dog permit you first need a dog licence from your own municipality.
Wisconsin state statute and Sun Prairie city ordinance both require dogs of five months or older to be vaccinated against rabies and licensed.
The upside of the cooperative arrangement is genuine range. A single annual permit opens up a network of parks across the county rather than one enclosure, which is worth knowing if you travel around the Madison area.
